Defamation campaign against Menelik II is orchestrated by TPLF; real Oromos have nothing to do with it

Former TPLF defense minister Seye Abraha said Ethiopia's prisons today speak Oromiffa after he was released from jail. It means that under the TPLF junta, Ethiopian prisons are packed with Oromos where they are being brutalized, tortured, and murdered. Indeed Oromos have no worse enemy than TPLF, as testified by one of their own.
Before Meles Zenawi threw his former colleague Seye Abraha in Kality prison, both were masterminds of a campaign of dehumanizing and brutalizing people from the Amhara ethnic group. They used OLF to carry out the Bedeno massacre in which thousands of Amhara men, women and children were slaughtered right after TPLF came to power in early 1990s. The Bedeno massacre was a brainchild of Meles Zenawi, Kinfe Gebremedhin and the entire TPLF top leadership. It was part of their divide and conquer policy of turning the Oromo and Amhara ethnic groups against each other.

TPLF propagandists have also went back over 100 years to fabricate atrocities and use it to defame one of the greatest leaders Ethiopia has ever had, Menelik II. Defaming Emperor Menelik has been a central part of TPLF's anti-Ethiopia agenda.

When Teddy Afro recently released a song named Tikur Saw that praised Menelik II, it has become an instant big hit among all Ethiopians from all ethnic backgrounds. This one song by Teddy Afro has dismantled TPLF's 30-year campaign of defamation against Menelik.

A few weeks ago, Teddy Afro announced his plan to do a tour through out Ethiopia to sing Tikur Saw and his other popular songs. The TPLF junta would not let that to happen. So they have unleashed their sleeper-cells such as Jawar Mohammed and other fake Oromos to campaign against the tour.

Menelik II was not the enemy of the Oromo people. He was loved and admired by Oromos and all other patriotic Ethiopians. Menelik's most trusted advisers, generals and administrators were Oromos, including Dej. Balcha (the hero of the Battle of Adwa), Fit. Habtegiorgis, and Ras Gobena, to mention just a few of them.

When Menelik II, Dej. Balcha and others were fighting against Italian colonialists at Adwa, Meles Zenawi's grandfather Sumbash Asres was helping the Italians. Watch this video to understand the true nature of TPLF leaders.

Let's not fall into TPLF's trap. Instead, let's make this fabricated controversy backfire on TPLF by promoting peace and harmony among all Ethiopian ethnic and religious groups.
